The Moomin Museum is based on the collection of illustration art donated by Tove Jansson (1914–2001). Jansson is best known for her Moomin characters, but she was a bold trailblazer in her own right, both as an artist and as a person and woman.
The core themes in Jansson’s Moomin books as well as in the Moomin Museum revolve around friendship, understanding diversity and enjoying life’s small and big adventures. If you want to learn more or add fun to your visit, book a guided tour or a workshop, that are available in different languages.
